Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 unit zest of lemon
  • 3 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp lemon extract

Coating/Topping

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 drops yellow food coloring optional

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the white chocolate chips, butter, lemon zest, heavy whipping cream, and lemon extract.
  • In a separate small bowl, combine the powdered sugar and yellow food coloring, if using.
  • Heat the saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts and the mixture becomes smooth, ensuring it doesn't boil.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly before using a teaspoon to scoop portions of the chocolate mixture.
  • Roll each scoop into small balls using your hands.
  • While still soft, coat each truffle in the powdered sugar mixture to ensure they are evenly covered.
  • Place finished truffles on a tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set completely.
  • Serve immediately or store for later enjoyment!

Notes

Keep leftovers refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 days. You can also freeze truffles and reheat directly from the freezer.
