  • 4 cups Fresh peaches, peeled and sliced (about 4 to 5 medium peaches)
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar (divided: 3/4 cup for macerating and 1/4 cup for topping)
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour (sifted if lumpy)
  • 1 pint Vanilla ice cream (optional for serving)
  • Whipped cream (optional for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches and granulated sugar; let it sit for about 30 minutes to allow the juices to release.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour.
  • Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the flour evenly over the peaches.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  • Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
