Ingredients

Crust Ingredients

  • 2 cups Graham cracker crumbs Finely crushed
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter Melted
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar

Filling Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh strawberries Hulled and chopped
  • 1 cup Whipped cream Preferably chilled
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish lightly with butter or nonstick spray.
  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Stir until evenly moistened.
  • Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake the crust for 10 minutes. Allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
  • While the crust cools, whip the chilled whipped cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Layer the chopped strawberries over the cooled crust and spread the whipped cream over the strawberries.
  • Cover the pan tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  • When ready to serve, cut into bars with a sharp knife warmed under hot water.

Notes

For best results, chill overnight. Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
