Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour Measured, sifted if preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk Room temperature is fine.
  • 1 large Egg Lightly beaten.
  • 2 tablespoons Melted butter Cooled slightly.

Sausage

  • 1 package Cooked sausage links Use 8–10 links, any breakfast sausage.

For Serving

  • Maple syrup For serving.

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Make sure the dry ingredients are evenly mixed.
  • In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined. A few small lumps are okay.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  • Dip each cooked sausage link into the pancake batter, coating it evenly.
  • Place the batter-coated sausages on the skillet. Cook until bubbles form, about 2 to 3 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown, another 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Serve warm with maple syrup on the side for dipping or drizzling.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For freezing, cool completely, wrap individually, and place in a freezer bag for up to 2 months.
