Equipment

  • 9x13-inch Baking Pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 2 large Eggs room temperature
  • 1 box Yellow cake mix 15.25 oz
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips semisweet or mix of chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan well with butter or nonstick spray.
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, and yellow cake mix until well combined. Stir until no dry pockets remain; the batter will be thick.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently so they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store baked bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze cut bars in a single layer.
