Instructions
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
On a large baking sheet, spread out the halved Brussels sprouts.
Cooking
In a skillet, cook the bacon pieces until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set it aside on a paper towel to drain. Keep the bacon fat.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Add the minced garlic to this mixture.
Pour the honey mixture over the Brussels sprouts on the baking sheet, tossing to coat evenly.
Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then stir the Brussels sprouts and sprinkle the cooked bacon pieces over them.
Continue roasting for another 10-15 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are caramelized and tender.
Optionally, toss in the chopped pecans in the last 5 minutes of roasting for added texture.
Serving
Serve warm, offering a delicious combination of sweet and savory flavors, enhanced by the crunch of bacon and optional pecans.
Notes
Make sure to cut the Brussels sprouts evenly so they cook at the same rate. Don’t skip the bacon fat—it adds great flavor!
