  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened Room temperature
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 large Egg Room temperature
  • 1 cup Flour, all-purpose
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips, semisweet Or mix semisweet and milk chocolate
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
  • Pour the batter into the greased pie dish and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Great with ice cream or whipped cream.
