Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter or nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
Pour the batter into the greased pie dish and spread it evenly.
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Allow to cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Great with ice cream or whipped cream.
