  • 1 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips (regular size)
  • 2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips (for melting)
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil or butter (for melting)

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually fold in the all-purpose flour and salt, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press the cookie dough into the pan, smoothing out the top.
  • Refrigerate the dish for about 1 hour or until firm.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips with coconut oil or butter in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the chilled cookie dough and spread evenly. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for garnish.
  • Return the dish to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes or until the chocolate sets.
  • Slice into bars and serve chilled for the best texture!

Notes

Store bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. For longer storage, wrap individual bars tightly and freeze for up to 3 months.
