Cajun Shrimp and Salmon with Garlic Cream Sauce

Ingredients

For the seafood

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets
  • 20 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

For the seasoning and sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Adjust to taste for more or less spice.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Preparation

  • Season the salmon fillets and shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Add the salmon fillets to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside with the salmon.
  • Lower the heat to medium and add the garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1 minute, then add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Return the salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve over rice or pasta to soak up the sauce. Can be paired with salad or vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
