Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Tart Pan
  • Measuring Cup
  • Rubber Spatula

Ingredients

Crust Ingredients

  • 2 cups Crushed chocolate cookies (Oreo or Digestive)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter melted

Mousse Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups Heavy whipping cream cold
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar sifted if lumpy
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 4 bars Cadbury Flake crushed into small pieces for folding into mousse
  • 2 bars Cadbury Flake crumbled for topping

Optional Garnish

  • Shaved dark chocolate for garnish, as desired

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix the crushed chocolate cookies with melted unsalted butter until the crumbs are evenly moistened. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan to form an even crust. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to set.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until completely smooth and free of lumps. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  • In a separate chilled bowl, whip the cold heavy whipping cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture in two additions, being careful not to overmix.
  • Stir in the crushed Cadbury Flake bars gently, distributing them through the mousse without crushing them further.
  • Spread the mousse evenly over the chilled cookie crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle the crumbled Cadbury Flake bars over the mousse for a decorative finish.
  • Cover the tart with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for a firmer set.
  • Serve chilled, adding optional shaved dark chocolate on top just before serving.
