Ingredients

Fruits

  • 4 cups sliced peaches, fresh or frozen, peeled

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar, granulated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk, whole or 2%
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with butter or nonstick spray.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir gently and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon if using.
  • Pour in 1/2 cup melted butter and 1 cup milk into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
  • Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Do not stir.
  • Bake for about 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool slightly for 10 to 15 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
