  • 1 lb Ground beef Raw, no special seasoning beyond salt and pepper
  • 24 pieces Frozen tater tots Do not thaw
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Bacon Cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup Diced onions Finely diced
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • as needed Ketchup For serving
  • as needed Mustard For serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven according to the tater tot package instructions so the tots crisp up properly.
  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Season with salt and pepper while it cooks.
  • Prepare the tater tots according to the package instructions, arranging them on a baking sheet.
  • Fill each tater tot with a spoonful of the ground beef mixture.
  • Add cheese and crumbled bacon on top of the beef-filled tots.
  • Return to the oven just long enough to melt the cheese, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Serve in cones or cups with ketchup and mustard on the side for dipping or drizzling.
