Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg

Wet Ingredients

  • 0.5 cups applesauce
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, combine applesauce and granulated sugar until well mixed.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture into the applesauce mixture, stirring until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. It’s delicious on its own or topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
